Baby massage business launched Steve Hayes 17 September 2008
A PAIR of hospital nurses are offering a pioneering baby massage course in Leamington.
Kate Liptrot co-founded baby massage business, Tender Hands, with her sister-in-law Sonia Greaves.
The unique five-week course teaches mothers and fathers how to use the massage techniques they are qualified to teach.
The pair, who are both mums, work in the baby care unit at Warwick Hospital.
Kate said: 'We got very interested in developmental care and were amazed by the positive effects baby massage can have so we got qualified and started teaching the courses. Baby massage can help a baby to sleep, it can help them bond with parents and helps in most aspects of their development.
'A lot of the courses out there are two-weeks and that can be quite a lot for a baby to take. Ours are much more relaxed than this and that's why we think they are better.'
The courses are available in Leamington and Stratford.
