Electric massage chair

A glimpse into the cultural soul of China can be found in a little massage parlor on a bustling, dusty street in north central Beijing.
It is a cramped, two-room shop next door to a bicycle repairman and around the corner from a popular restaurant run by Uighurs, a Muslim minority group almost as controversial in China as the Tibetans.
But the inauspicious surroundings are not really important to the proprietors of the Boya Tang Blind Massage parlor. That's because everyone who works there is blind.
The five massage therapists and one receptionist who jointly own and operate the shop are not expecting any Olympians to walk through their door for treatment in the next few weeks, but sore-muscled athletes would not be disappointed if they did.
An hour-long deep tissue massage costs about $10 at Boya Tang, and no tip is expected or accepted
